Another Perfect World: Youtube. Submarine. Sep. 12, 2009

Today we saw an thirty minute documentary on avatars. The video explained how so many people use these online worlds and how it affects them in real world. Some People create movements for video games and became millionaires just for selling the movement on an avatar world. Others have benefited by finding an actual life partner in life by meeting them through these virtual worlds. Kids in China make a living off of playing these games full time, by simply practicing all day and competing in tournaments to win money. These virtual worlds have took a complete new direction and now you can practically live your life through these worlds. Through these worlds you can create yourself and explore the world by walking around or even fly to your destinations. I am very curious and cannot wait to create an avatar.

Submarine is a cross media production studio. Specialize in documentaries, games, and animation. Strong narratives meet the latest in new digital technologies at Submarine. Created in the year 2000 by Bruno Felix and Femke Wolting, and seems to be up to date. The source came from a website. The website is a great and reliable source that has plenty of ther films about avatar worlds. Submarine Productions has won many awards and did a great job in the film Another Perfect World. They are great production company which helped provide me with compelling evidence.

Clay Shirky talks about Second Life and how this social 3d world is made for interactions. Roughly around 1 million users actively use the Second Life account. Shirky talks about how Second Life is growing so quickly. This program may become a normal way for people to deal with each other. He believes that people have problems dealing with each other face to face. Soon everyone will deal with each through programs.

Ticky Fullerton is a Senior Reporter at Lateline on ABC. She seems to shape her opinion about the issue. She is a reliable source because she has won awards on her work and has worked in different journalism types. This source is scholarly and popular because Fullerton asks some great questions as a reporter, but the Second Lefe is a very popular avatar by itself.
